How to Reach:

By Air:

The nearest airport is Gaggal airport which is 18 kms from Mcleodganj. Gaggal Airport is well connected to all the major cities by flight and one can easily avail shared cabs or buses from the airport to McLeodganj.

By Train:

Pathankot is the nearest railway station to McLeodganj which is nearly 85 kms from Dharamshala. A cab or a bus can be taken to reach Dharamshala from Pathankot and then to Mcleodganj for your Triund Trek camping.

By Road:

Mcleodganj is well connected to major cities like Delhi and Chandigarh by road. Overnight buses for McLeodganj take around 10-11 hours from Delhi and the buses generally leave from Kashmiri Gate or Majnu ka Tila.

Alternately, one can also drive their own private vehicle to McLeodganj but care must be take that you require two days to complete the trek. Hence, there must be some arrangement made to park the car while you’re trekking.

Elevation and Temperature:

Triund Top is situated at a height of 2800 metres above sea level. Average summer temperatures range from 25-30 degree Celsius during the day and nearly 10 degrees at night. Proper care must be taken to bring appropriate clothes. The temperatures can be really low during the winters and hence it is advisable to check the weather before leaving for the trek.

Stay and Food:

The accommodation and the food is provided by the trekking company with whom you have done your Triund Trek booking online. The stays are in comfortable tents. The food served is simple yet filling and nutritious. If you are going independently, there are other stay options as well like Govt. guest houses or tents on rent.
